Michelle Smith, LPC
Michelle Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor, an EMDR International Association Approved Consultant and Certified EMDR therapist, and a Registered Play Therapy Supervisor (RPT-S). She has a certification in perinatal mental health (PMH-C), recognizing that many individuals during and after pregnancy experience specific hardships and need additional support and resources. With over a decade of experience, Michelle works predominantly with individuals with complex trauma, ongoing interpersonal trauma, PTSD, women’s health issues, pregnancy and postpartum challenges, miscarriage and infertility.
She enjoys working with individuals of all ages, particularly those that struggle to know their value due to painful experiences. Helping clients reach their full potential as well as gain peace and clarity from their past is what drives Michelle.

Erika Theodorides, LPC
Erika Theodorides is a licensed professional counselor in Virginia. Erika received her Master’s in Counselor Education from Lynchburg College. Erika has more than 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in an outpatient counseling and school setting. Erika provides counseling with individuals and families to address various issues such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma and abuse, grief, attention-deficit and disruptive behavior disorders, adjustment disorders, anger management, social skills, and parenting issues.
Erika uses an eclectic approach in her therapy sessions including play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and person centered therapy. She can also provide a unique therapeutic experience to clients through the use of a therapy dog. Ashton Smith, LPC
Ashton Smith is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Virginia. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University in 2015. In 2011 and 2012, Ashton traveled to Rwanda, Africa to explore the impact of trauma on a societal and individual level. During the trip, Ashton explored various ways the country has coped, developed resiliency, and has overcome the impacts of trauma. Ashton has five years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of settings to include crisis settings, school settings, and home settings prior to transitioning to private practice.
Ashton provides counseling to individuals of all ages and families to address various issues such as trauma, anxiety, anger management, abuse, depression, life changes, parenting issues, grief, attention-deficit disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, and adjustment disorders. Ashton uses an eclectic approach in sessions, but finds that she utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and play therapy, with a trauma and person-centered approach most frequently. Most importantly, Ashton has a desire and a heart to walk alongside her clients and provide a safe and accepting environment in their journey to hope and restoration.

Katelyn Childs, LPC
Katelyn Childs is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Approved LPC Supervisor. She received her Bachelor’s from Virginia Tech and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lynchburg College. She has been working in the mental health field for over 8 years in a variety of settings such as community, school, and home-based, as well as private practice. Katelyn enjoys working alongside people of all ages and backgrounds, with adolescents being her foremost passion. She is also devoted to fostering the field of counseling by supporting and educating counselors and increasing awareness of legal and ethical issues.
Katelyn provides support to clients struggling with issues such as OCD, depression, anxiety, stress, issues related to grief and loss, trauma, interpersonal conflict, attachment-related difficulties, among other things. She has completed specialized training of ERP (Exposure Response Prevention) with the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) in their Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) for use with clients suffering from OCD and other related issues. She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) through EMDRIA and uses this effective technique with adults and children alike. Katelyn believes that no matter what a person has experienced, most people can benefit from counseling, and is a strong proponent for early intervention and prevention.

Mandy Nobilini, LPC
Mandy Nobilini received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her areas of clinical focus include OCD, anxiety, depression, and/or other chronic mental health concerns.
Mandy’s treatment approach often includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and/or Motivational Interviewing (MI). Mandy is passionate about her work and offers warmth, empathy, non-judgment, practicality, and a bit of humor (when appropriate) in sessions.
Mandy believes that counseling is a space to share openly, increase self-awareness, and move towards emotional health and lasting change according to your personal values. Carson Halufska, LPC
Carson Halufska is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia, a Certified Integrative Trauma Coach, and is currently pursuing her Perinatal Mental Health Certification. She is newly trained in ERP and is able to support individuals struggling with OCD. With over 11 years of experience, Carson has worked with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, women’s sexual addictions, postpartum challenges, miscarriage and infertility, the college-to-adulthood transition, trauma, ADHD, and more.
Carson earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Lynchburg. She integrates multiple therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Attachment-Based Theory, and Somatic Therapy, tailoring her work to each client’s unique needs. She also offers faith-based counseling upon request, incorporating Biblical truths at the center of the counseling process for those who desire a spiritually integrated approach.
Passionate about helping others find balance and healing, Carson works with clients ages 10 and up and is honored to support individuals on their healing journey.

Lisa Fox, LPC
Lisa Fox received her Master’s from Liberty University and has help clients of all ages from intensive care to the counseling office. She holds a special interests in helping clients get unstuck from depression, anxiety, OCD, and adult-onset and childhood traumas. Lisa is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She believes the counseling relationship is a grace space where healing and transformation take place.

Amanda Johnston, LPC
Amanda Johnston is a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working in community based services prior to earning her MEd. Amanda’s approach to counseling is to get to know your unique lived experience, understand where you would like to grow as well as your strengths, and empower you with the knowledge and resources that suit you best. Not everyone follows the same path to healing, so Amanda provides counseling at your pace and comfort level and always welcomes feedback.
Her primary treatment approach is EMDR with an emphasis on building strengths and resiliency. She is also certified in Trauma-Focused CBT, an evidence-based intervention for children with PTSD, and Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, which is designed to help individuals with complex trauma take back autonomy of their body. When the emphasis of treatment is on stabilization and building skills, she uses more Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Amanda also specializes in perinatal mental health and has experience with children, foster care and adoption, and First Responders.

Emma Mankus, Resident in Counseling
Emma Mankus is a Resident in Counseling in Virginia, completing her direct client hours as she prepares to apply for full licensure. With a Master of Education in School Counseling and a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2022), Emma brings a unique blend of expertise to her work with children and families. She has spent the past three years as a licensed school counselor and is now excited to transition into private practice.
Emma’s background provides her with a deep understanding of child development and the academic, emotional, and social needs of children. She has extensive experience supporting children with anxiety, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder, and her work is grounded in empathy and developmentally appropriate practices.
Currently, Emma is also in the final stages of obtaining her Registered Play Therapist credential. Her therapeutic approach is child-centered and holistic, using play therapy and other evidence-based interventions to create a safe, supportive space where young clients can process emotions, build resilience, and thrive.
